The Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce has announced Mrs Bunmi Afolabi as it’s new director- general.
Afolabi is a chemical engineering graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and has a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Cranfield University, United Kingdom. She is also an alumnus of the Lagos State Business school’s Advanced Management Programme.
A statement by the NBCC read in part, “ prior to joining the NBBC, she was the Alumni Relations Director at the Business school, where she was responsible for the strategic planning, implementation and maintenance of programme to engage alumni and further strengthen relationships within the school network. “prior to this,, she was involved in setting up the Nigerian office of the African Distributor for Autodesk and led the Nigerian operations”
It added, “she started her career as an education manager in NCR and thereafter was with Bi-Trax Axxent for 15 years, where she was the managing director.
“Afolabi brings to the table over 26 years a wealth of experience and track record of leadership and administration that will take the chamber to the greatest heights.”
