South Africa’s Cape to Monitor VAST Wi-Fi Network

Vast Network, South Africa’s first open access and leading Wi-Fi provider has selected South African Wi-Fi monitoring company, Cape to monitor its vast Wi-Fi network in the country.

Formerly known as Assimetric, Cape Town-based Cape is software as a service (SaaS) and hardware company on a mission to make the Internet better.

It is doing this through its recently launched WiFi monitoring product known as Cape Sensor, which makes it super easy for IT and network professionals to monitor WiFi network and application quality, and Cape Dashboard, which allows IT and network professionals to monitor the state and quality of the network.

VAST Networks will install Cape Sensors at hundreds of locations throughout South Africa, including airports, shopping malls, hotels, hospitals, restaurants and offices. Together with Dashboard, it will help the company monitor Wi-Fi performance from the end-user’s perspective.

“Cape’s Sensors and Dashboard show us exactly how end-users are experiencing our network,” said Khetan Gajjar, VAST Networks CTO.

He added, “Providing high-quality Wi-Fi to our venues, service provider partners, and end-users is our top priority and we want to ensure that they consistently receive unparalleled speeds and services.”

Already, Cape has helped the company to identify and troubleshoot issues with its Wi-Fi performance and captive portals, increase efficiencies by reducing site visits, and hold its vendors to a higher standard
